And away we GO! Just a few moments ago we were delighted to a sneak peak teaser trailer for the fourth instalment of the Thor franchise. We’ve got our ol’ favourite’s with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Heimdall (Idris Elba) as well as some new characters like antagonist Hela (Cate Blanchett) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). The teaser, accompanied by Led Zeppelin’s The Immigrant Song (hell yes) gives us some sweet stylized action shots and character cameos, the most exciting being the HULK played by Mark Ruffalo. TAKE A LOOK!!

Google’s movie synopsis reads as follows:

“Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilisation.”

The film definitely feels like it will pack a punch, and visually follows the stylistic nature of Doctor Strange  and upcoming Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Thor gets a whole new wardrobe change and drastic haircut which may be a disappointment to some fans, but a fresh visualisation for others. There was no sneak peak of Doctor Strange as of yet, although he is one of the title billed cast members, we must thank Marvel for not revealing ALL in the teaser…but they did reveal a lot.

One of the only disappointing things to see was the destruction of Mjolnir, Thor’s mighty hammer, in the beginning seconds of the teaser. However this does mean that this element of story could be rather unimportant in the layout of the film…just wish they left some stones unturned for now.

What did you think of the new teaser trailer? Are we still confident in Marvel’s reigning success?

I think so.
