And away we GO! Just a few moments ago we were delighted to a sneak peak teaser trailer for the fourth instalment of the Thor franchise. We’ve got our ol’ favourite’s with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Heimdall (Idris Elba) as well as some new characters like antagonist Hela (Cate Blanchett) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). The teaser, accompanied by Led Zeppelin’s The Immigrant Song (hell yes) gives us some sweet stylized action shots and character cameos, the most exciting being the HULK played by Mark Ruffalo. TAKE A LOOK!!
Kong: Skull Island, proof yet again that no matter how big your cast, it all comes down to the screenplay, and boy, was the screenplay bad. Starring acclaimed actors John Goodman, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L Jackson, and helmed by first time big budget film director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, Kong: Skull Island plays out as just another basic Hollywood set up film for a future franchise that may or may not see the light of day, thought exceeding is visual direction and special effects, severely lacks in plot and dialogue that becomes almost laughable at times.
Dive into the awesomeness that is the BLOCKBUSTER CRATE! With huge film hits old and new like Iron Man, Mad Max, Batman and Superman, Finding Dory, Star Wars, Terminator, Independence Day and more!
This whimsical film is a myriad of mess and magic as the new Harry Potter spin off tale tries its best to capture the nostalgia of the original tales. Though it wows in conception and screenplay, it fails to entice viewers with complex story archs and dizzying visual effects, losing much of the raw beauty of the wizarding world portrayed in the Harry Potter films. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them would have suited a 400 page novel more comfortably than a 2hr film.
Not 20 minutes ago the first trailer for Marvel’s Doctor Strange was just released online @marvelentertainment youtube channel. Firstly appearing on Jimmy Kimmel last night, Benedict Cumberbatch revealed the first look at some footage from the film. Now that the trailer has been released online for the world to see, let’s break down what we saw and what we can expect.
The Annual MTV Movie Awards is always exciting for film buffs like myself, because it is here we usually get some awesome new footage and teasers on upcoming films, and this year did not disappoint. Since we were blessed with some mesmerising new goodies, I thought I’d collate some great teasers here to look forward to this year.
Well what can I say about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice…other than don’t waste your money? WARNING SPOILERS 😉
Critically acclaimed survivor flick, The Revenant, starring DiCaprio and directed by Alejandro Iñárritu premiered last week worldwide and has lived up to the proposed award season hype this film as been attracting. With little to expect from the short trailers and some bogus articles about bear rape, The Revenant posed as the first most anticipated movie of 2016, and what a brilliant start. With no bear rape in sight (sorry?) the story follows famed explorer Hugh Glass and his violent encounter with a grizzly, which left him near dead in the cold Alaskan winter. Left to die by his so-called comrades, Glass treks 200 miles to find his camp and seek his revenge.
